ABOUT

The Full Story

My journey began by creating album cover artwork for my close friend and upcoming hip-hop artist Manxi!.

This was for his first project "Terraformed" (Pictured to the right), and it doesn't quite hold up to today's standards.

Regardless, I decided to continue my Photoshop journey, and go further in evolving my skillset, and every project artwork for him since then increased in quality each time. Below are some more examples of the very early work I made.

Around this time I had just moved to the University of Lincoln to partake in an undergraduate Creative Advertising course to expand my knowledge in media and to further feed my creative urges.

Within these three years, I created many advertisements with my peers, many of which you can find on the 'ads' portion of this website.

During my University experience, COVID hit. It was a very unfortunate situation,

meaning I had to learn from home and it completely put a nail in my experience.

Keen to turn the situation into something productive, I created a mini company by the name "Ascene Graphics".

In fact, this was probably the part of my journey where my photoshop skills reached new levels, as I challenged myself to release unique and eye-catching pieces of digital art every day. Just to pass the time.

Here are some of my favourite pieces that I think showcase just how much my digital art had improved.

As COVID settled and I entered my third and final year of University, I was faced with the challenge of working with real brands in a national advertising competition.

This competition was by D&AD, a highly respected and well-established brand showcasing the best upcomers in the advertising scene in the UK.

I worked with Top Trumps to create an ambitious campaign that would catch the attention of the judges, and was able to implement my ever-growing skillset in digital work.

After a few months of waiting, the awards were announced, and I made the list.

Winning an award for my last project at University was a beautiful way to wrap things up, and to end things on a truly high note.

Feel free to view the campaign here.

After graduating with a 2:1 grade, that concluded my University experience.

Ever since, I have continued to create album art for clients on Fiverr, and, of course, I continue to work closely with my good friend Manxi!.

All my recent pieces of work can be found on the front page of this site.

And that was where Budge came in - an outlet to show my journey and to provide unique pieces of digital work for clients as an award-winning advertiser.
